Galen is proud to announce Kristina McDaid as the recipient of the 2025 Paramedic Science Award for Extraordinary Peer Support, Enhancing the Potential of Others. The award ceremony took place in The Guildhall, Derry/Londonderry on Friday, 21st November.

This award, now in the second year of Galen’s three-year partnership with Ulster University, reflects our commitment to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals in emergency care. The Paramedic Science Award honours individuals who demonstrate exceptional peer support and help their fellow students reach their full potential.

Kristina McDaid, the award winner, expressed her gratitude:

The BSc Hons Paramedic Science course, launched in 2021, equips students with the knowledge and skills essential for delivering high-quality emergency medical care.
